... does any one here know that where the option selection is saved ? In registry key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer under the binary value "Shutdown Setting". This is an INF file which I wrote, which forces the shutdown option to "Shut down", instead of remembering the previous setting.
